A few weeks ago, I felt like God laid it on my heart to talk with our listeners about being set free from their past because it's so easy to feel like we have a new identity only then to make a mistake and get shamed back into our old selves that we have been set free from!
In today’s episode, I interviewed my good friend and dynamic podcast host Lindsey Maestas from the Living Easy Podcast. In the episode, Lindsey shares about a sexual trauma that she experienced at the age of 14 that led to several years of promiscuous behavior with other men until one day she realized she could not keep going on the same path and gave her life to Christ. From that point on, Lindsey began living as a new creation in Christ and shares how she specifically took steps to leave this former way of life behind and walk in the freedom of her new identity. In the episode, Lindsey discusses how scripture memory, community and forgiveness are some of the most powerful methods she has used to remain a new creation in Christ.
